Justin Bieber was spotted vaping in West Hollywood this week inside trendy French restaurant Coucou alongside wife Hailey.
California has banned vaping indoors since 2016 under its workplace and public space smoking laws, but the Canadian superstar didn’t seem fazed as he passed the vape back and forth with Hailey while dining with friends. The model, 28, even held the device for her popstar husband at one point as they shared a relaxed evening.
Bieber, 31, was dressed casually in a grey vest that showed off his tattoos, paired with a striped green-and-yellow hat. Hailey kept it sleek in a black long-sleeve top with her brunette hair styled in an updo. The couple laughed, chatted, and embraced friends before leaving the restaurant in good spirits.
Show of unity after marriage rumours
The sighting comes as the pair’s marriage has been under public scrutiny in recent months. Sources told Us Weekly that recording Bieber’s latest album, Swag, had strained the relationship as the singer became intensely focused on the project.
“The intense focus and emotional toll of creating new music had put a strain on their marriage,” one insider said. “When Justin is in the studio making new music, he gets completely consumed and shuts everything else out.”
With Swag now released to widespread acclaim, the source said the “tension has settled.” The couple recently reconnected on a trip to Idaho with their son Jack Blues, who turns one later this month. At Coucou, they appeared relaxed, happy, and affectionate throughout the night.
Celebrities spotted vaping
Other famous people known to vape include Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Allen and Cara Delevingne.
In May, White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood was spotted vaping during a break from filming a new project with fellow actor Patrick Schwarzenegger.
In November, Love Islander and influencer Maura Higgins was photographed stocking up on vapes before flying to Australia for ITV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The 33-year-old Irish beauty was a late entrant to the jungle camp along with Reverend Richard Coles. The week before joining the show, she was seen clutching three boxes of vapes in one hand as she left a meeting with her management company in London.
And earlier this year, Love Island All Stars contestants Olivia Hawkins and Marcel Sommerville revealed that “everyone” in the luxury South African villa vaped – except Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Olivia said she also hadn’t picked up a vape in her time there.
In an interview with Kiss Fresh, Olivia, 29, said: “You want me to tell you who vapes again? Let’s go. Not me, because I’m an angel. You vape [pointing to Marcel]. I think everyone vapes, pretty much everyone. Apart from Ekin-Su.”
