The European Commission wants to hike taxes of safer nicotine products, a move which will cause enormous pain for consumers, most of whom just want to stop smoking.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an announcement on 16th July, the EU\u2019s executive proposed hikes of at least 40% for most vaping liquids, 50% for nicotine pouches and 55% for heated tobacco. 15% would be paid directly into the EU budget if approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
