{"id":16284,"date":"2024-08-01T12:28:03","date_gmt":"2024-08-01T12:28:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clearingtheair.eu\/half-of-adults-who-quit-smoking-used-vapes-or-other-nicotine-products\/"},"modified":"2025-01-07T12:13:18","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T12:13:18","slug":"half-of-adults-who-quit-smoking-used-vapes-or-other-nicotine-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clearingtheair.eu\/es\/post\/half-of-adults-who-quit-smoking-used-vapes-or-other-nicotine-products\/","title":{"rendered":"Half of adults who quit smoking used vapes or other nicotine products"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"clear-before-content-2\" style=\"margin-top: 20px;margin-bottom: 20px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"clear-2397714499\"><img src=\"https:\/\/clearingtheair.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/caafc5c68900198b80aee12c11b50184.avif\" alt=\"\"   style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/div><p id=\"\"><strong>More than half of adults in the U.S who successfully quit smoking used vapes or other nicotine products to kick the deadly habit, a new study has found.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The research, preprinted in science journal BMJ Yale, shows that 2.9 million U.S. adults stopped smoking for six months or longer from 2021 through 2022.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">In the same period, 13.1 million tried to stop but went back to smoking.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"\"><p>Among those who successfully quit, 53.9 per cent (1.5 million U.S adults) said they primarily used vapes alone or in combination with other methods.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"\">The least commonly reported quitting methods used were non-nicotine, non-prescription drug methods (including a quit line, counselling or clinic, class, or group). This equated to just 6.3 per cent or 0.2 million US adults.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Vapes most popular exclusive quitting method&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The most commonly reported exclusive method selected was vapes at 26 per cent (0.7 million US adults).
